EDIT:
Advertisements

It is dramatic but still wearable, at least for me. I’ve used warm metallic shades  . Hope you will enjoy it.

Step 1 :
Prime your eyes. Apply a thin layer of an
eyeshadow base on your eye as your e/s stick
better and for less fallout, especially if you’re
using mineral e/s.  After that apply Purple Sparkle
by
Femi Cosmetics over your crease with a
MAC 217 or any other doomed brush.

Step 2 :
On the tear duct apply a light golden e/s from
120 e/s palette 3rd edition. Next is a golden e/s
called Metallic Golden Russ followed by Metallic
Sunset both by Femi Cosmetics. Blend them slightly.

 Step 3 :
On the lower lash line apply Emerald Green
by Femi Cosmetics. Line your eyes like that
with gel eyeliner or whatever is more comfortable
for you. After that add some matte black e/s
in the crease. Blend it into purple. Highlight
your brow bone.

Step 4 :
Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I recommend
using false eyealshes as well for a really dramatic
look.  I’ve added some Crystal Ice by Femi Cosmetics
between my 2 wings in the outer corner of my eye,
but you can skip that 🙂 You’re done!

Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer

undefined

This concealer is best for under the eyes as it has a gel-like consistency.  It doesn’t cake up, yet is pigmented enough to cover the darkest of undereye circles.  (The color I have is “tan”)  I apply this under my foundation in a thin layer (watch my Flawless Face Video to see how I apply it)

Price: $35

Where to Buy: (Makeup Geek Store)

Peter Thomas Roth Un Wrinkle Concealer

This concealer is great for brightening up the undereye area! It is super smooth, doesn’t cake up, yet covers really well.  Since it doesn’t have that orange/peach color like the Eve Pearl Concealer, it is best applied on top of the foundation just for that extra coverage.  If you want to hide blueness under the eyes, go with the Eve Pearl  (I use both this and the Salmon Concealer for under the eyes)

Price: $35

Where to Buy: Amazon or eBay

MAC Studio Finish Concealer

This concealer is best for blemishes as it has a thick consistency and covers well.  I don’t recommend using this under the eyes as it will tend to look cakey.  The trick for this one is to apply a little at a time in thin layers.

Price: $16.50

Where to Buy: MAC or  Amazon or eBay

Make Up For Ever Camouflage Cream

undefined

This is another great concealer for hiding those blemishes!  The consistency is similar to the MAC one but isn’t quite as thick.  I used to use this under the eyes, but I find that it can cake up as it doesn’t have the gel like consistency.   But if you need a good concealer for blemishes or scars, this one is great!

Price: up to $36

*It seems that Sephora only carries the camouflage palette which is $36.  MUFE does sell the single pots which are cheaper- you can call the MUFE store in NYC

Where to Buy: Amazon or  Sephora or  eBay

Looks Best On: medium to dark skin

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Myth

This is my go to nude lipstick!  To warm it up though, I apply a pale pink lipgloss on top for that Kim Kardashian type nude lip.

Color Description:   Pale muted peachy-beige

Finish: Satin

Looks Best On: fair to medium skin

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Peachstock

I like this one as an almost nude color- the pale peach color warms up the lips but doesn’t make you look ashen.  This is a pro only color (I hate how MAC does that!), but if you can find it, it’s my favorite peach lipstick!

Color Description: a neutral peach

Finish: Satin

Looks Best On: fair or medium skin

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Pink Nouveau

Another great pink lipstick that is intense but not overly bright.  I like wearing this with a smudged black eyeliner and thick lashes for that bombshell type look!

Color Description:   bright pink

Finish: Satin

Looks Best On: fair, medium, or dark!

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Please Me

This is a beautiful warm pink color that can be worn with neutral eyes for a daytime look, or paired with a darker/brighter eye for a more dramatic lip.  It’s so versatile and looks great on everyone!

Color Description: Muted-rosy-tinted pink

Finish:   Matte

Looks Best On: everyone

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Plumful

This is a beautiful purple-pink color that is flattering on everyone.  Should be a staple in each makeup geek’s kit.

Finish: Lustre

Looks Best On: everyone

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Ravishing

Color Description: clean, light peachy coral

Finish:   Cremesheen

Looks Best On: fair or medium skin

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Russian Red

This is the classic red Marilyn Monroe lipstick.  Since it has a cool undertone, it makes the teeth look white!

Color Description: intense bluish-red

Finish:   Matte

Looks Best On: medium to dark skin, or fair skin with warm undertones

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Shy Girl

This is a great everyday lipstick!  There’s just enough color to warm up the lips, but nude enough to go dramatic with the eyes.

Color Description: Creamy neutral coral beige

Finish: Cremesheen

Looks Best On:   fair to medium skin

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

Up the Amp

Even though this is a purple lipstick, it is still flattering for all skin colors.  It has enough pink to it to make it super wearable, yet still fun!

Color Description: Electrically-charged lavender violet

Finish: Amplified Creme

Looks Best On: everyone

Where to Buy: (MAC)   (eBay)

NYX Glitter Liner

What it is:

Why I Like It:

These glitter liners are great for a night on the town  OR during the day.  The glitter isn’t too over the top as it has hints of color and can be applied sheer if you want. Plus you can’t beat the price!

Price: $4.29

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara

I love this mascara as it truly DOES have a big fatty wand.  Since the wand is so huge, it gets right in those lashes to apply a fair amount of mascara- making them look thick and full.  If you have shorter lashes and/or smaller eyes though, this wand may be a bit too big.   Also, the price is a bit steep for mascara but it truly does thicken the lashes really well.

Price:  $20

Where to Buy:      Amazon . Sephora . eBay

MAC Opulash

I’ll be honest:  I’ve never really liked MAC’s mascaras at all.  This one however is a keeper!  I like the wand on this one as it’s not to big or too small- it’s just right ;)   It thickens my lashes well and doesn’t clump.  Price is in a moderate price range as well.

Price:   $14

Where to Buy:    Amazon . MAC . eBay

d.j.v. Fiberwig

Made popular in Japan, this mascara uses teeny tiny fibers to make the lashes look uber thick.  It has very small fibers mixed in with the mascara that stick to the lashes when you apply (don’t worry, they don’t come off and land in your eyes).  You do need to scrape off the excess on the end of the tube to prevent clumping though…  This one is pricey also, but worth it as it thickens and darkens the lashes extremely well.

Price:   $24

Where to Buy:     Amazon . Sephora . eBay

Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black

This one has been my go to mascara for years now!  Is inexpensive, available at most stores, and thickens the lashes really well!  The carbon black formula is my favorite as it’s super dark which makes my lashes really stand out.  The brush on this one is average size- not so large to where those with shorter lashes would have a hard time.

Price:  $7

Where to Buy:    Amazon . eBay . Most Drugstores

Tarte Lights, Cameras, Lashes

This is my newest favorite mascara that I’m currently wearing.  I bought this one as it supposedly thickens your lashes by 424%.  Whether that’s the case or not, it’s still a pretty good mascara.  The wand on this one is smaller than I am used to, but it’s perfect for reaching my lower lashes.  I’ve been trying to use more Tarte products lately as they aim for using more natural ingredients- always a plus!

Price:   $19

NYX Mega Shine

undefined

Not only are these lipglosses inexpensive, but they come in a ton of colors, are richly pigmented, and aren’t overly sticky like so many other “cheap” lipglosses.  I love how creamy these feel and how I don’t even need to wear lipstick underneath as the colors come out so vibrant.

My favorite colors:  Beige   (it’s actually a pink color- weird, I know…) and Lollipop

Price:   $5.59

Where to buy:   Makeup Geek Store

Lancome La Laque Fever

undefined

These lipglosses are also very creamy and rich in color- my favorite part though is the diamond shaped wand to apply the lipgloss.  Some of the lipglosses are more sheer than others, but I found the color “Lucent Nude” to be a gorgeous pink-nude color that is flattering on everyone!  My only drawback on these is the price and the small selection of colors…

My Favorite Color:   Lucent Nude

Price:   $26.50

Where to buy:     Sephora  .  Amazon  .  E-Bay

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips

I have loved these plumping lipglosses for quite awhile now as they really do make my lips look bigger!  They come in  TONS of different colors and are free of parabens and other harmful ingredients.  I chose Melanie as my favorite color as it is a warm bright pink that looks great on everyone.

My Favorite Colors:   Melanie  and Margarita

Price: $18

Where to buy:   Sephora  .  Amazon  .  E-Bay

NARS Lipgloss

These lipglosses are super pigmented, creamy, and come in several different gorgeous shades!  Kim Kardashian made the color “Turkish Delight” popular- it’s a very pale light pink color that goes great with a dark smoky eye.   I would splurge the $24 and get this color as I haven’t found any cheaper dupes for it yet, but in all honesty, I would get the NYX ones instead as they aren’t that much different.  BUT, I still have these on my top 10 as they are great quality :)

My Favorite Colors:   Turkish Delight and Angelika

Price: $24

Where to buy:   Amazon   E-Bay

MAC Cremesheen Glass

Back in the day when these were limited edition, I bought as many as I could as I love these so much!  They’re uber creamy and pigmented- almost like liquid lipstick.   I like these so much better than the MAC lipglasses as they don’t seem as sticky (MAC should just replace their lipglasses with these as they’re SO much better)

My Favorite Colors:   Petite Indulgence and Loud and Lovely

Price:   $18

Where to buy:    MAC  . eBay

.

Make Up Designory Lip Glaze

The MUD lip glazes are very pigmented, creamy, and aren’t overly sticky.  They remind me of MAC lipglosses but in a squeeze tube.  My favorite color is Canteloupe- a rich peach lipgloss that looks great on everyone.

My Favorite Color:  Cantelope

Price: $9.99

These lipglosses are like the Ferrari of lipglosses- super slick, luxurious, and…. expensive.   If you want to splurge on a lipgloss, I would get the one in #856- a gorgeous red color.   I like these because they aren’t sticky, have a slight shimmer to them, and are very rich in color.

My Favorite Colors:  #856 and #441 “Creamy Rose”

Price: $27

Lip Fusion Color Shine

Here’s another Kim Kardashian sponsored product (I’ve lost track of all her products by now…) but I have to say I like these plumping lipglosses as they really do make your lips look full and glossy.  I probably wouldn’t choose these over my Bare Escentual ones, but they still are a great lipgloss.  I like the color “24K’ as its a pale golden color that warms up any lipstick underneath.  The price is a bit steep though…

Revlon Color Stay Mineral Lipglaze

These babies are by far my favorite drugstore lipglosses!  I’ve been very impressed lately with Revlon’s products, and you can’t beat the price.  These lipglosses are very creamy and rich and come in TONS of colors.  I love “Continuous Coral” as it’s a gorgeous coral color perfect for summer.

My Favorite Colors:  Continuous Coral and Eternal Blossom

Price:   $6.29

Out of my top 10, this one is probably my least favorite.  BUT, these do feel smooth and most importantly- they’re cheap.  I like the color “Sheer Mocha” as it’s a nice nude color.
